How Does Financial Expertise Become Software?
Updated: 1 day ago
Judgment stays with people.
Speed comes from AI.
Validation returns to people.
Some time ago, I used these three sentences to explain where AI should stand in corporate finance.
Then, the issue was mainly AI’s limits. Today, we are at another point:
How much financial judgment can be digitized?
Ainsideme’s digital applications grew out of pursuing that question.
Our initial goal was not to develop finance tools that use AI. Faster calculation alone means little. Excel calculates quickly. Software calculates. AI can generate dozens of alternatives in seconds.
In corporate finance, the difficult part is often not calculating.
It is knowing what to look at.
In a company’s cash flow, the critical issue is not only next month’s balance, but the date after which room to maneuver begins to shrink.
In financing, the issue is not simply finding the lowest interest rate. It is whether maturity, currency, and repayment structure fit the company’s commercial cycle.
In exports, making a sale is not success on its own. If collections, financing, currency risk, and operations are poorly structured, apparent profit can quietly disappear.
In valuation, the task is not merely running a DCF formula. You can apply the same formula to two companies, but not the same assumptions.
That is where the digital models began.
Digitizing the way of thinking, not just the formula
At Ainsideme, we do not simply add AI to finance; we turn corporate finance expertise into digital systems.
The distinction matters.
Adding AI to a system and calling it smart is easy. The difficult task is distinguishing which parts of years of financial judgment can become rules, which can become scenarios, and which can become control mechanisms.
Because experience rarely lives in a single formula.
It lives in questions such as:
Can this growth actually be financed?
Is this margin sustainable?
What happens to cash flow if this project is delayed?
Does this financing structure strengthen the company, or narrow its options a few months later?
Which assumption does this valuation depend on too heavily?
Some of these can be systematized. Others still require human judgment.
For us, technology becomes meaningful at that boundary.
Five applications, one idea
Ainsideme now offers digital applications for cash flow, financing structure, tax and trade structures, export operations, and company valuation.
At first glance, they seem to address different problems.
In fact, one question underlies them all:
How valuable is a financial answer that ignores the company’s own structure?
Our answer: not very.
That is why our models do not simply place company data into a ready-made template. How the company earns money, uses capital, faces risk, and operates within its economic environment becomes part of the analysis.
The clearest example is our recently developed Company Valuation and Decision Support Platform.
We know a SaaS company and an EPC company do not create value in the same way.
ARR, churn, and expansion may matter in one; project pipeline, realization probability, margins, collections, and delay risk may determine value in the other.
So the question is not simply:
‘What is the company worth?’
It goes beyond that.
More interesting questions are:
Why is it worth that much?
Which assumption supports the value?
Where does value go if the risk materializes?
And what can management change?
This is where a valuation system begins to become truly useful.
Where exactly does AI fit?
AI is very powerful here.
It provides speed. Compares alternatives. Scans large datasets. Makes variances visible. It can reduce work taking a person hours to minutes.
But there is still an important question it does not answer on its own:
‘Does this result make sense for this company?’
The answer lies in financial context.
That is why the three-part principle from my earlier article still applies:
Judgment stays with people.
Speed comes from AI.
Validation returns to people.
But today, I would add one more sentence:
When properly designed, expertise does not have to remain only in a person’s mind. It can become the way digital systems operate.
That is part of the story behind Ainsideme’s digital applications.
Not simply doing finance with AI.
But scaling financial thinking through the speed of technology.

And perhaps this is where real digital transformation begins.
